Description
William Gibbons (circa 1825 - 1886) was a man claimed in ownership by white enslaver Henry Howard. He was married to Isabella Gibbons and had four children. He was Minister of the First Baptist Church in Charlottesville, Virginia, (beginning sometime after 1863) and was Minister at the Zion Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. (beginning in around 1868). Gibbons is buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Charlottesville, Virginia.
