Edmund Bacon (March 28, 1785 - 1866) was a white enslaver and Thomas Jefferson's overseer at Monticello from 1806-1822. He also helped Jefferson in the early stages of planning and building the University of Virginia. Bacon surveyed proposed sites for the University on Jefferson's behalf.
