Description: University of Virginia student Thomas G. Tucker broke into the home of white enslaver and professor Robert Maskell Patterson (Pavilion V) and attempted to assault an unidentified woman who was referred to as a "female servant." This event is recorded in the Chairman's Journals, February 5, 1830. Tucker was reprimanded by the Chairman and Patterson who found that he "did not seem to be much impressed with the immorality of his conduct."
